A culture of research engagement across your school grows when leaders allow staff the opportunity to explore and apply evidence as part of their everyday practice and when teachers have the autonomy to experiment in their classrooms. This session will explore how to embed research within your whole-school CPD approach where research meaningfully informs practice.
We will discuss how to embed research into your CPD strategy so that using evidence becomes a part of professional dialogue and teachers’ decision making. We will cover widening staff participation by building curiosity in research and shared ownership of evidence-informed practice. Through practical examples, this session will share how designing school-based research approaches aid leaders to move beyond individual projects and contribute to a culture that is evidence-informed, and where evidence is used to strengthen teaching and learning across the school.
