Executive Leadership Team
The Chief Executive and the Executive Team are responsible for delivering the strategy of the Chartered College of Teaching. Along with the Senior Management Team they oversee the day-to-day running of the Chartered College of Teaching.
Prior to becoming CEO of the Chartered College of Teaching, Professor Dame Alison Peacock was Executive Headteacher of The Wroxham School in Hertfordshire. Her career to date has spanned primary, secondary and advisory roles. In 2018, she became an Honorary Fellow of Queen's College, Cambridge, one of the first ever female Fellows admitted. She is also a Visiting Professor of both the University of Hertfordshire and Glyndwr University.
AS COO, Jen Baxter leads a team covering a wide range of functions including Strategy, Finance, and Membership. Previously, Jen was Head of Strategy and Planning at Teach First, where she worked with the CEO, Board of Trustees and senior colleagues to develop and implement the organisational strategy. She also worked at CfBT (now Education Development Trust) as Head of Development and Strategy and was a Senior Consultant at Deloitte. She started her career as a teacher as part of the Teach First 2003 cohort and Head of MFL at Uxbridge High School.
A former English teacher, Cat Scutt’s roles have since focused on supporting teacher development both online and through face-to-face activities, with a particular focus on development through collaboration and through engagement with research and evidence. She has worked as a teacher and advisor in the state and independent sector, as well as in corporate learning and development.
Jenny is a qualified accountant, she joined the Chartered College of Teaching as Director of
Finance in 2022. Prior to this she worked as Finance Director for the Arthur Rank Hospice
based in Cambridge and before this as Finance Director at the Thalidomide Trust. She has
also worked in a senior finance role at the Royal Society of Chemistry. She holds the
voluntary role of Treasurer for two organisations, the Thalidomide Society and Headway
Cambridge and Peterborough.
