We’re pleased to share exciting opportunities for School-Led Tutors, Academic Mentors and those leading on tutoring and mentoring provision in your schools and Trusts. These are offered in conjunction with our partners, ImpactEd Evaluation and Education Development Trust.
Evaluate the impact of tutoring with ImpactEd
The Department for Education (DfE) and ImpactEd Evaluation are launching a new project for schools and Trusts to help the DfE understand how tutoring is being implemented in settings. In return, schools and Trusts will receive free access to ImpactEd’s digital platform, and access to a visual dashboard of how tutoring is being implemented in their setting.
NB: Senior leaders overseeing this provision are well placed to submit their findings for the Development of Teaching Practice Award (Leadership), equivalent to 20 Chartered Status credits.
Advanced accreditation for School-Led Tutors and Academic Mentors
In addition, to recognise the work School-Led Tutors and Academic Mentors are doing, the Chartered College of Teaching has partnered with Education Development Trust to offer an advanced accreditation, the Award in Professional Knowledge for Tutoring. If tutors in your school or trust have completed the National Tutoring Programme Training Course for School-Led Tutors or Academic Mentors with Education Development Trust since 2021, they will be eligible for this accreditation.
